British grown orchids

Phalaenopsis orchids Exotic and domestic all at the same time, these beautiful orchids add a touch of tropical luxury to the posies and, as luck would have it, are grown down the road at Double H nurseries in New Milton. This past year has been all about adapting to change and it's now possible for retail customers to buy orchid plants direct from Double H via their Love Orchids shop. We've also got the first of the season's sweet peas which is very exciting! What's in the posy? Sweet pea, tulip, narcissi, pittosporum, muscari, orchid, eucalyptus, salal. What's fragrant? Sweet pea, narcissi, eucalyptus.

Who's a pretty boy then!

Parrot tulips As we get further into tulip season, it's time for the parrot and fancy tulips to take centre stage. There's a great variety in these blooms bringing interest and character as they open. This week we're using parrot tulips alongside other Spring-time favourites such as hyacinth, ranunculus and narcissi. What's in the posy? Tulip, hyacinth, eucalyptus, narcissi, pussy willow, ranunculus, alstroemeria, choisya, rosemary, senecio, weeping willow. What's fragrant? Hyacinth, rosemary, choisya, narcissi, eucalyptus.

A special occasion?

Say it with flowers! Today is my husband's birthday. Spoiler alert - I haven't arranged a party! In fact he gets the homeschooling duties while I'm out doing the safe doorstep deliveries. As we learn to live with our very limited options in these days of COVID19, at least it gives us time to reflect on what and who is most precious in our lives. I have had the privilege of delivering flowers for special occasions and 'just because' flowers throughout this pandemic and it's always a pleasure to deliver a gift sent with real kindness and love.
