British-grown flowers from our cutting garden in Hampshire

Greetings from the cutting garden!

Flowers from the garden! This week all the ingredients in our beautiful posies are homegrown except the scented stocks - which have been grown in a nursery in the Midlands. May is a good time for a flush of British flowers, although the exceptionally dry spring has put the plants under a lot of pressure. We were very pleased for the downpour yesterday! We have homegrown ‘Sarah Bernhardt’ peonies which will open for you, which are a pretty pink ruffled flower with a delicate sweet scent.

And we’ve got lots of other lovelies tucked in the arrangements too, namely sweet williams, roses, apple mint, rosemary, physocarpus, varigated pittosporum, allium and epimedium. I hope you enjoy them.
