What flowers are in season each month in the UK?
Share
By using British seasonal flowers every month of the year, we’re lucky to create a wide variety of posies you won’t spot in supermarkets.
Some varieties can be extended with staggered planting or grown under cover in different locations — for example alstroemeria, narcissi, and iris — giving them a second flush. Others are short-lived, more like shooting stars in the flower calendar, such as mimosa, anemones, and stocks, and may only appear for a few weeks in our posies.
With the constantly changing UK weather, no two years are the same. Below is an indicative list of the sorts of British flowers you may see in our one-off posies or included in our flower subscription UK bouquets each month of the year.
