A view of our flower cutting garden in the springtime

What's coming up in our cutting garden right now?

We've had a couple of wonderful sunny spring days this week in our New Forest cutting garden (although it's overcast again now!) and that's helped our seedlings make a good start to the growing season. We've come to the end of the narcissi and snowflakes and right now we've got the first plantings of sweet williams coming up and there's good growth on the phlox, peonies and roses although it's too early for them to be flowering just yet. The alliums and agapanthus are coming up with early buds and the delphiniums and golden rod plants are looking healthy. We've got lots more seedlings to plant like more sweet williams, scabious, cornflowers and statis, but we'll wait for the next rainfall so they can go into wet soil to give them a good start.

We work all year round with other local growers in Cornwall, Lincolnshire and Norfolk to provide British grown seasonal flowers throughout the year and if you'd like to order a one-off posy or start a new subscription with us, please click here.
