True blue

Blue hydrangeas

Incidentally, 'True Blue' was the first album I bought with my pocket money in 1986 (Madonna) - I knew all the words! I do love a true blue flower. Hydrangeas have the ability to change from pink to blue depending on the pH of soil and these ones have been gently nudged to blue in our neutral soil by mum increasing the acidity. You can try it yourself by adding old coffee grounds from your local coffee shop.
