What charming flowers!

Lots of new things in the posies this week, but I'm most excited about the peonies! This late-Spring British flower has a small flowering window (sorry brides!). These 'red charm' ones, along with 'coral charm' are the earlier varieties and will be followed in a few weeks by others like the pretty pink 'Sarah Bernhardt' variety.
If you have space in the garden, they're well worth growing, as they're foolproof once they get established and they have a sweet fragrance. You can get single ones with giant yellow centres which pollinators make a bee-line for! They like well drained soil and full sun and don't like being moved about too much. In a couple of years you'll be glad you planted them!
